About Us, what is Fetch the Swell and Autism.
Fetch the Swell is a first of a kind interactive website-blog that is designed by kids for kids. It’s all about building confidence. You never know what your missing unless you try. You may not always make it. But that’s not what this website is all about. No competitions or awards here just plain fun.
Our Mission –Kids encouraging and helping other kids build confidence within themselves
All of us in our lives one time or another have experienced fear and anxiety whether it’s a school test, riding a roller coaster, playing sports or talking in front of the class, that’s all to be expected. But for some kids especially kids with disabilities it is a part of their daily lives. Which can sometime effect making friends, playing sports or just trying new things. As a parent of a child who goes through this on a daily basis, we see the struggles that they go through and fears that overwhelm them at times. We try to be there to support them until they are comfortable enough to try it on their own. But what we have started to learn was that kids strives best when they get support and encouragement from their brothers, sisters and most of all their friends. Then it hit us, if this is helping us then maybe we can help other families that have children who are going through the same struggles as us.
Developing a Brand kids could relate too
The best way for us to show our support was to develop a brand that the kids could relate too and that was when Fetch the Swell was born. The boys put their thoughts together and came up with several things that they loved to do. That was playing with their dog Bailey, working on computers and spending the day at the beach. So it was quite clear where this was going to take them. What started out as funny dog doodles on a kids meal place mat from the restaurant went to very nice drawings of a dog sitting on the beach. Then it became drawings of a dog sitting on the beach watching the waves and wondering if he has enough courage to ride one. Then bingo! We had done it.
A message from mom and dad
Grant & Bryce we can’t say enough about how proud we are for you wanting to help and encourage other kids but more proud of you for what such kind hearted young men you are becoming. We are always here to help you grow and fulfill your dreams.
Keeping the awareness and helping others
We have developed really cool car decals for sale to promote the awareness, but best of all is that we would like to donate a portion or sales from our car decals to help purchase sensory equipment for families with children who have Autism and who cannot afford themselves.
