Marching Band time. Hi everybody! I’ve been really busy since the end of summer because I am in the high school marching band. I’m still in junior high, but they let some of us join the older kids. It has been really a lot of work. We went to band camp for a week and it was so hot and the hours were long, but at the same time it was kind of fun being there with my friends and classmates because we all share the misery together! A couple of weekends ago we got to march in Richmond’s Heritage Days parade. I think it is the world’s longest parade. I swear it went on for a couple of hours! I can tell I’m getting stronger because even though I was tired from all the walking, it wasn’t as bad as last year. The hard work that we all complained about really has paid off because I think we have a really great marching band and I’m really proud to be a part of it.
