Sink or Float 

Hi everyone, The science fair time is back at school and this time my grade does not have to do a project but my brother Bryce’s 4th grade glass does. So we wanted to share with you a little about what science project he chose. The project board is not complete yet, but the results are clear.

Okay, trivia time. If you filled a clear container full of water and placed in three non diet flavored sodas and then place in three diet sodas what would happen?

A. Would they all sink because they are all 20oz.

B. would all of them float

C. Only the regular sodas or non sodas sink

D. Only the diet sodas would sink

Are you done guessing………..

Here is the answer,

C. Only the regular sodas would sink. The reason is because regular sodas are full of sugar which  weighs a lot. Compared to aspartame, which is considered a fake sugar and is only used in diet sodas and weighs a lot less. So that is why regular sodas sink.
