South Manitou Island

This weekend my dad and I went to South Manitou Island with our boy scout troop. Where is Manitou Island you ask, well I said the same thing. It’s an island about an hour and a half boat ride from Leeland Michigan. We had to hike all our gear in to our campsite. I think it was more rough on my dad who had to carry some of my gear because if I did it I would probablyhave fallen over from the weight. We got to go on a day hike and goof around on the beach collecting seashells. The one thing that I won’t miss is the mosquitos! they seem to be extra hungry.
