Band Camp 2019 “Go Chieftains”
Band Camp 2019 has come and gone, and this time it was even more enjoyable now that we had more friends join us. Here is Bryce at one of our practices at Central Michigan University. We spent a week from 7am to 10:30pm at night on the field marching or in buildings doing sectionals. Our theme for this year is “The Greatest Show.
We have more solos and moves that we have to perform but we did fantastic. Our first half time show last Friday went well besides the game being delayed twice for lightening. That was a good call…and guess what the football team finally won. This may already be better than last year. Just Kidding I think the football team one two games all year.
Band Camp 2019 Memories
Band camp is always a long and exhausting week, but seeing everything come together makes it worth it. The kids put in so many hours practicing their music, marching, and learning the show. It is amazing to see how much progress they make in such a short amount of time. By the end of the week, everyone is tired, but they are also excited to finally perform what they have worked so hard on.
For Band Camp 2019, Bandarama and MBSOA competition is what we set our goals on next, hopefully we walk away with a number 1 in districts… they have held this for the last four years and we definately don’t want to be the one to ruin that tradition.
Sorry for now writing in a bit, but summer has been crazy busy..but we are back ontrack again. I will try to make multiple posts now so you can catch up on our busy life styles. I’m actually camping with my family this weekend and writing this post and trust me wifi is very bad so I am on my moms hotspot.
