Being part of the Utica High School senior band makes this year especially exciting. This is the first year that the seniors in the band get to have banners made, and they will be hung on the football field for senior night.

I wanted to share this because the Utica High School senior band represents so many memories from my marching band years. My high school marching band days are coming to a close within the next couple of months. I will definitely miss them, but I’m also looking forward to my next adventure with orchestra and eventually joining the band program at Oakland University.

Even though I still need to complete an audition with them I am super excited. Both my cousins go to Oakland University and absolutely love it so I want to do the same.

We have Alumni night tonight for the game and that is always fun to see familiar faces from the past. Remember once your part of a band your always part of that band.
