Marching Season At Utica High Is Back !!!
Marching season at Utica High School is back, and it feels wonderful! After such a long break, I was so excited to be back on the field with the Utica High School marching band.
We have been practicing hard, and it really showed last Friday night. It had been 677 days since the marching band had been on the field for a halftime performance. Being back out there performing with everyone felt amazing.
Our show is Disney themed, which makes it really fun because people recognize the songs and start singing along. I think my favorite song from the show is The Incredibles. Hearing the crowd and performing together again reminded me how much I missed marching band.
Being part of the Utica High School marching band has given me so many great memories. It’s not only about performing. I enjoy practicing with my friends, learning the music, and seeing everything finally come together when we take the field.

Next weekend we will be performing at the Richmond parade. We have been doing this parade for years, except for last year when it was canceled. It’s always a really fun event, especially for families with smaller kids because there is plenty of candy being thrown along the parade route!
I’m so happy marching season is finally back, and I’m looking forward to everything still ahead this season.
