OMG, I Love Pep Band !!
A couple weeks ago, I decided to step outside of my comfort zone and play with the Utica High School pep band at one of our football games. I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but I ended up having so much fun playing with my bandmates.
Once the game started, I realized I wasn’t even paying attention to the score. I was just enjoying the music, being with my friends, and being part of everything happening in the stands. Pep band has a completely different feeling than marching on the field, and I’m really glad I decided to give it a try.
We still have three more away games coming up, and I’ve already decided that I’m going to every one of them. Being part of the Utica High School pep band gave me another great high school memory that I know I’m going to remember long after graduation.
If you’re part of a school marching band and you’ve never tried pep band, give it a chance at least once. You might end up loving it as much as I did!
